Zhengzhou- day 7- orphanage visit

Last night Mia really did not want to go to sleep. She cried and cried and finally got comfortable near us. After she fell asleep I put her in her crib and she slept 10 hours so that was good. I am hoping that she is getting more comfortable and just wants to be near us! Today we got up and went with another family to visit Mia's orphanage. It was about an hour away. On the way I was thinking how crazy it was that not only we didn't have on a seatbelt but Mia was just sitting in my lap. This comes from a mama who still has her 6 year old in a regular cars seat. He is so happy to graduate from it now that we need to rearrange for Mia. Anyway we are all just sitting in the van with no seatbelts and the driving is crazy! Horns honking! Cars really close! Scooters going everywhere but still I have not seen a wreck. We finally get to the orphanage and the director meets us and shows us around. He is really nice. We first go to Mia's room. I was nervous that she would want to stay with her nannies but she didn't seem too interested in them. Her room is actually very nice. I was very surprised. It is sponsored by ccai -our adoption agency. The room is called Lilly orphan care center (LOCC). It is completely funded with donations through ccai. The room was well kept and very clean. The nannies were very nice. The rooms just down the hall were not that way. They smelled bad and there were several babies in one bed. In Mia's room there is only one baby to each bed. We asked how they choose which babies get that room and the director said that room is for the good babies :).  I guess Mia was (and is ) a good baby! In one of the pictures below Craig and Mia are standing in front of her old crib. In another picture you will see me with a little boy in a crib. He broke my heart. He was crying when I walked in. Not many of the babies were crying at all. But this little guy was so I walked over to pat him and he stopped. Every time I would walk away he would cry so I spent the entire time patting him while I was in that room. It made me sad to see so many babies laying there with so many special needs. I wish I could take them all home with me!
Tonight we walked a little way and went to PIZZA HUT!!!!!! It was amazing food. We were so excited that it tasted like real pizza. The menu was even in English so we ordered with ease except one mix up on our drink...but that is minor! We ate pizza! Yummy! I just couldn't take anymore fried rice or noodles....maybe again tomorrow! :)
Then we went to Walmart to pick up a few things. Just like at home I left with more than I meant to! Craig took some pictures so you could see some of the food
in the meat and produce areas! I know it makes you hungry!!
We are very ready to be home! I miss the boys so much but Wyatt informed me today that he doesn't miss me :(
